Nagbitiw bilang miyembro ng Kamara de Representantes si ACT-CIS party-list Representative Edvic Yap.
Sa ginawang session sa House of Representatives nitong Miyerkules, Pebrero 4, ay inanunsiyo ni Deputy Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Anna Victoria Veloso-Tuazon na nakatanggap ito ng sulat mula kay Yap ukol sa kaniyang pagbibitiw sa puwesto.
“Mr. Speaker for the information of the body, we are in receipt of a letter from Rep. Edvic Yap of ACT-CIS party-list informing the House of Representatives of his resignation as member of the House,” ani Veloso-Tuazon.
Dahil dito ay hiniling nito sa secretary general na tanggalin na si Rep.Yap mula sa roll of members ng House of Representatives.
Si Yap na kapatid ni Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, ay isa sa mga mambabatas ng binanggit ni Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla na umano’y nakatanggap ng pera mula sa mag-asawang contractor na sina Pacifico “Curlee”Discaya at Cezarah “Sarah” Discaya.
Hiniling naman ni Remulla sa Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) na ilabas ang umano’y ugnayan kina Yap at mga Discayas.
