Ihaharap ng House prosecution panel sa Senate impeachment court ang dalawang dating tauhan ni Vice President Sara Duterte na umano’y humawak sa confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at Department of Education (DepEd).
Ayon kay House lead prosecutor at Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro, ipatatawag sa witness stand sina dating special disbursing officers Gina Acosta ng OVP at Edward Fajarda ng DepEd.
Dahil dito, ipinag-utos ni Senate impeachment court Presiding Officer Senator-Judge Francis Escudero ang pagpapalabas ng subpoena para kina Acosta at Fajarda.
Sina Acosta at Fajarda ang mga payee ng mga tsekeng in-encash sa mga sangay ng Land Bank of the Philippines na may kaugnayan sa confidential funds ni Duterte.
Nauna nang tumestigo si dating Land Bank department manager Violeta Constantino na si Acosta ang nag-encash ng apat na treasury checks para sa OVP na nagkakahalaga ng tig-P125 milyon noong Disyembre 2022 at noong Pebrero, Abril, at Hulyo 2023.
Samantala, sinabi naman ni dating Land Bank branch manager Nenita Camposano na si Fajarda ang nag-encash ng tatlong treasury checks para sa DepEd na nagkakahalaga ng tig-P37.5 milyon noong Pebrero, Abril, at Hulyo 2023.
Ipinag-utos din ni Escudero ang pagpapalabas ng subpoena para kina Commission on Audit (COA) Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office Supervising Auditor Celine May Del Campo at House Legislative Information Resources Management Department Director Marivic Pareja.
Si Del Campo ay humarap na sa impeachment court nitong Miyerkules at inaasahang magpapatuloy ang kanyang pagtestigo sa susunod na linggo.
